"The design for Chrysanthemums Blue is based on an artwork from my Blue Chrysanthemum Series. This series focuses on just the flower as an isolated symbolic element. A blue Chrysanthemum does not exist in nature – it is an imaginary dream-like flower. In this piece, I chose to work with a single color of blue to further express the flower’s paradoxical nature."
