Stroll is the result of a design collaboration between Warp & Weft and Pratt Institute graduate student, Sandra Atakora. Sandra's inspiration for Stroll came from the painting "A Stroll on the Beach" (1896) by Danish painter, Michael Ancher. As a member of the Skagen school of Painters, Ancher aimed to capture the essence of the seaside town's unique light. Sandra, also from Denmark, reinterpreted not only the light quality of the painting, but also the atmosphere of the beach, and the movement of the composition into her abstract design.
We are proud to showcase this modern translation of light, form, and color in our premium hand-tufted quality. High density materials like semi-worsted Merino wool or Lucent nylon and meticulous finishing are the standards of any residential or commercial custom project we develop. By combining all the best techniques in rug-making, we bring each pattern to its full potential.
