FEATURED DESIGNER

Forma, from the Latin meaning form or shape, explores the structure, balance, and beauty found in both the natural world and the built environment. It speaks to the essence of design: how form defines space, and how space, in turn, shapes experience. Warp & Weft collaborated with Gensler, serving as product design consultant, for Forma. The collection reimagines familiar elements from landscape and architecture into distinctly modern rug compositions.

Custom Boutique Rugs & Designer Carpets in NYC | Warp & Weft

Craftsmanship matters. At Warp & Weft, we have a deep appreciation of the superior levels of expertise invested in each rug and the values and practices that underlie their creation. We wanted to return to the authenticity of hand rug-knotting, a disappearing ancient art that few companies still practice. Attention to detail and a focus on uncompromising quality underpins our contemporary interpretations of traditional design revivals. Inspired by the intersection of culture, heritage, quality, and passion, each custom rug is crafted by experienced artisans, combining customized work and personalized design, hand-knotted or hand-woven using luxury materials and impeccable construction.

Material, color, texture, and weave – all of these details and more – are explored with designers before our rugs are custom-made by hand in countries with rich weaving traditions. It is our goal to make custom rugs that inspire the people and places around them. We often speak about the soul of a rug. This quality is hard to describe in words, but it can be felt, especially in rugs that many hands have worked together to create. Inquire about our custom rug designs with our designers.
